By the end of this tutorial you’ll have a scheduled task that runs every morning, summarizes the last 24 hours of AI news, and pings you when it’s done.

Before you start

Screenshot coming. Captures land in the next pass.

1. Open Scheduled Tasks

Sidebar → Scheduled TasksNew task.

2. Name it

  • Name: Daily AI Brief
  • Description: Top AI/ML news from the last 24 hours, summarized.

3. System prompt

You write concise daily news briefs. 5 bullets max. Each bullet:
1 sentence, plus a source link. Skip rumors. Skip duplicates.
This shapes every run without you having to repeat it.

4. Prompt

What were the most important AI announcements, papers, or
launches in the last 24 hours? Cite each.

5. Connectors

Enable Exa. The task can now do real web search at run time.

6. Schedule

  • Preset: Daily.
  • Time: 08:00 (your local timezone).
  • Max runs: 30 (lifetime cap — task auto-stops after).

7. Save

Hit Save. The task is live. The next run fires at 8am.

8. The next morning

You’ll see a new chat in Recent with an unread badge. A browser notification fires if enabled. Click in to read the brief. Edit the task if the output style needs tuning.

What’s next

  • Add a connector. Hook up Slack via Zapier to mirror each brief into a channel.
  • Tighten the prompt. As you read the briefs, refine the prompt — “prioritize open-source releases”, “exclude marketing posts”.
  • Try a weekly task. Same setup, Weekly preset, Sunday evening — your week-ahead briefing.
