Long replies, Deep Research runs, image generations — they all take real seconds. Foundry can ping your desktop the moment a reply lands so you don’t have to babysit the tab.

Turn it on

The first time a long task is about to finish, Foundry asks your browser for notification permission. Click Allow once and you’re set. If you missed the prompt or denied it: open your browser’s Site Settings for chat.ironlabs.ai and flip Notifications to Allow.

What triggers a notification

  • An AI response finishes streaming after you switched away from the Foundry tab.
  • A scheduled task runs and produces output while Foundry isn’t focused.
Title: IronLabs AI — Response ready
Body: the first line or two of the reply.
Clicking the notification jumps you straight back to the chat that produced it.

What if permission is denied or unsupported?

Foundry falls back to an in-app toast at the top of the window. You’ll still see the cue when you next tab back in.

Tips

  • Pair with Deep Research — kick off a long run, tab away, get pinged when it’s done.
  • Useful for scheduled task overnight runs — first notification of the morning is your task’s output.

Scheduled Tasks

Tasks fire notifications too.

Notifications pair well with long runs.
